Who are the crew behind AirSkill?

Our journey began with two university friends, Lassi and Hannu, as founders. Backed with their extensive backgrounds in extended reality, and software & product development, the company was founded in 2020.

Hannu, a lifelong RC airplane enthusiast, knows firsthand the frustrations and costs associated with developing flying skills through trial and error. Based in Finland, the winters we experience are long, dark, wet, and wintery affairs often making it impossible to fly or train drone pilots. We wanted a solution that solves drone pilot training once and for all.

Through the years our team has collaborated closely with law enforcement and rescue services professionals. It was through these partnerships that the idea for a virtual reality drone simulator was born. We recognized the growing importance of drones in critical missions and the need for cost-effective, high-quality training. Together with these professionals, we have developed AirSkill to perfectly match their needs, incorporating the exact scenarios they face in their operations.
